After Fridays events, i was so exhausted i couldn't complete this post, it's been sitting half done in my drafts for 4 days now!
I do apoligise, but herein lies another classic example of how life comes first, blogging is nice- but at the end of the day, what matters most isn't on the computer. Don't get me wrong i love all my dear followers, but sometimes i get so lost in the online world -things start to go pear-shaped.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abigail, from Smitten by Abigail requested any tips/ advice i have on piping.
Now to be honest, I've not an avid piper, so I'm just basing this off my experience, not expertise- if you want a more rounded or a different approach i suggest you check out the following tutorials as well:
what you need: require cord length plus an extra inch for each end, 3inch width X total length required for piping
your semi finished project.
I'm just using scrap fabric to make it easier to show you
1. your cord will need to be placed in the centre of the 3inch width fabric
2. Fold in half as shown,
3. and iron right up to the cord, this helps give a clean tight look.
4. pin as close to the cord as possible.
- for the next step use a zipper foot to help give a very close edge.
5.. sew as closely to the cord as possible, ensuring the fabric remains tort.
pin the piping to your project, with the seam/edged part of the fabric pinned closely to the piping. Ensure also that you open out the 'flaps' of your piping, as you only want to sew it to one side.

| 7. sew as closely to the piping as possible, even sewing on the very edge of the piping is okay. |
8. leaving the first sewing edge out as shown, pin the next layer, this time to all layers.
it should lok like this.
9. and sew as closely the piping as possible, even on top of the very edge will aid to get a neat and finished look.
adn TADDAAAA piping... the following pictures are just what else i did with it.
